When The Zombies Come – Official Sundance Documentary!

Sorry for not updating the website, but i crawled into my bunker last week in anticipation of sequestration. I’d heard that our economy would collapse, planes would fall from the sky and children wouldn’t have access to daycare… leaving them at the mercy of ruthless drug lords who would force them into lethal knife fights for entertainment. It was supposed to be the zombie apocalypse without the zombies! And where’s the fun in that?

Well, apparently none of that panned out. But regardless of which end-of-the-world scenario you’re preparing for, ACE Hardware is apparently the place to be! Taking inspiration from The Walking Dead and “because they’re weird, and they’re guys” an enterprising group of filmmakers/hardware store employees created this hilarious little zombie-survival documentary for the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

At a hardware store in the middle of no where fans of the walking dead have turned their love of zombies into an obsession which has warped the way they see the store and costumers.

Despite the fact that the official description contains a shocking number of spelling errors, When The Zombies Come has proved extremely popular with viewers. Unfortunately ACE Hardware itself was “aghast and outraged” calling the film “a deplorable video encouraging violent behavior” which is kind of ironic considering they’ve devoted an entire section of their online store to zombie preparedness. Oh hypocrisy, thy name is ACE Hardware!

Anyway… When The Zombies Come will debut as part of the Shorts Competition later this year. But in the meantime you can view the entire video right now by vising their YouTube Channel or stopping by the official website of the Sundance Film Festival.
