Zombie Hunter Starring Danny Trejo!

I recently watched a zombie film from The Asylum called Rise Of The Zombies. The cast was full of B-listers including Mariel Hemingway, Levar Burton and Danny F-ing Trejo; which is why i was a bit confused when i came across this independent film on Kickstarter. I mean, what are the chances of Danny Trejo playing a total badass in two completely different low-budget zombie movies? Well… pretty darn high apparently!

Zombie Hunter is set in a post-apocalyptic Zombie wasteland caused by the mysterious street drug “Natas”. We follow one man who has nothing left other than a beat up Camaro and a trunk full of guns and booze. He runs down Flesh Eaters, hunting for sport and redemption, while also running from his past. After crashing into a small group of survivors, who are running low on resources, he decides to lend a hand. But a surprise attack by the Flesh Eaters forces them on the run and puts the Hunter’s skills to the test.

The official Kickstarter campaign for Zombie Hunter has already reached its goal of $30,000. But with just a few days left, the filmmakers have set a new stretch goal of $45,000 promising even better visual effects, sound, music and goodies for everyone who pledges their support!

It appears the film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray sometime in June this year. But in the meantime you can check out even more videos, artwork and music from Zombie Hunter including an exclusive track from the film’s upcoming 80’s/dubstep-inspired soundtrack! Just visit the official Kickstarter website for more information. And while you’re there, don’t forget to pledge a few bucks!
