The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct Footage!

Yesterday we mentioned that Xbox LIVE was providing users with a free download of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead. And today we’ve got even more Walking Dead video game news; apparently IGN has provided brand new footage of the upcoming first-person shooter from Terminal Reality.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct should be released sometime next year, but if you’ve got about half an hour you can check out some of the early game play right now courtesy of Up At Noon. Unfortunately most of the footage is cut into the show, so you’ll have to watch the whole thing to see it.

Our impressions? Well first off, that host is totally creepy and looks like some sort of man-baby in a suit. Second, the game play looks generic and the graphics seem a little dated. Granted, this game is still in the preliminary phase. But it looks like a cross between Half-Life 2 and Left 4 Dead. Ya’ know, games that came out like five years ago.

Anyway, if you’re an optimist and have more faith in Terminal Reality than us, feel free to stop by Amazon and place your pre-order today! You can also visit the official website for a preview trailer and, um… well, that’s it actually. There’s only a preview trailer for now. But we assume there will be more eventually, so stay tuned!

The graphics do look a bit pants. I think a lot of game developers are cashing in on zombies at the moment (even in the Call of Duty games!), so I won’t hold my breath.
