Horror Realm This Weekend!

Beginning this Friday, the Crowne Plaza once again plays host to Pittsburgh’s premiere horror convention. Horror Realm promises plenty of exciting events including a variety of horror-related discussion panels, specialty vendors, a film festival and celebrity guests.

Featuring cast and crew members from nearly every film in Romero’s Dead series, there will also be lots to keep zombie fans happy. Heck, they’ve even got the Hare Krishna zombie from Dawn of the Dead!

Horror Realm, Pittsburgh’s modern horror convention, is pleased to announce the schedule of events for its fall show. The convention will be held on September 21-23, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South hotel in Bethel Park, PA.

In addition to a large dealer room, the show features the “Room of the Dead” where fans can meet cast and crew members from George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead. Horror Realm also hosts a VHS viewing room where horror films that never made it to DVD are screened on VHS.

Just imagine how bad a horror movie would have to be to warrant a VHS-only release! I’m thinking like, Coven bad. And Horror Realm has a whole room dedicated to these things? Wow.

Anyway, the main attraction is obviously the Dead Panel on Saturday which features cast and crew from Romero’s classic Dead series. But don’t miss Gary Streiner from Fix The Chapel and the Bill Hinzman tribute on Sunday. In fact, there are too many celebrities and events to list here. So your best bet is to visit the official Horror Realm website for more information!
