The Walking Dead Comes To XBox LIVE… Finally.

We waited. When Telltale Games released The Walking Dead for PC gamers and PS3 owners last Tuesday, we waited. As the universal adulation began to pour in… from IGN to Joystiq, we waited. While message boards and blogs started to fill with comments and spoilers, we waited.

Well, the wait is finally over! The Walking Dead officially comes to XBLA today. I kinda’ feel like singing a spiritual or something.

The Walking Dead is a five-part game series set in the same universe as Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series. Play as Lee Everett, a convicted criminal, who has been given a second chance at life in a world devastated by the undead. With corpses returning to life and survivors stopping at nothing to maintain their own safety, protecting an orphaned girl named Clementine may offer him redemption in a world gone to hell.

You wanna’ know the ironic part of all this? I’m just gonna’ keep right on waiting. Sure, the game looks great and it’s been getting amazing reviews. But i prefer to get everything at once… i’m just not the episodic type. And unlike the PC and PS3, XBox gamers are unable to purchase a season pass for the series.

But no worries! I managed to avoid spoilers for months after LOST ended… only to learn that everyone was actually dead the whole time. And that was totally lame. So i can definitely wait for a complete collection of something great like The Walking Dead!

Oh, uh… retro spoiler about the whole LOST thing.
