Wow, so all you guys are still alive? I guess the whole Mayan apocalypse thing doesn’t happen until the end of the year then, huh? Well, that’s okay. I still got to spend some time preparing for the real thing down in my bunker by playing Dead Island (which is really glitchy and horrible, by the way. But that’s a review i’ll save for another day.)
Anyway, speaking of zombie shelters, be sure to check out the winners of the 2011 Zombie Safe House Competition. This year first place went to the Vagabond Mobile Safe House Device… which is really more of a lame little camouflage tent than a safe house, but i digress:
Carried in a stylish leather ruck sack, the v.MSHD is equipped with portable water filtration, tracking device, & photovoltaic cells that wrap the skin of the enclosure. The reflective surface creates a cloaking effect to help disguise your location from those awful zombies and sets up in less than three minutes.
I suggest you cruise over to the official website and take a look at a few of the other entries. Because honestly, there are tons of entries that were much better than the Vagabond. I’m not even sure what the judges were thinking this year. I mean… it’s just a freakin’ tent!
