Left 4 Dead: The Sacrifice Part Two

Valve has gone and released Part Two of The Sacrifice; a free online comic following the further adventures of everyone’s second favorite group of zombie slayers.

Go check out The Sacrifice online and mourn the fact that it isn’t available as an actual, for-real, physical comic… for now anyway. However, Valve does step it up a bit this week by offering a wide variety of formats including a pdf version , a jpg version with no text and a jpg version with no text, speech bubbles or sound effects.

They explain the decision in their blog:

Thanks to the overwhelming worldwide response to the comic, we are going to make more versions of the comic available on the web. This will include the current version in jpg form, a pdf version , a jpg version with no text and a jpg version with no text, speech bubbles or sound effects. This should help get the comic localized and give people the raw panels to play with and make their own comic. We will make sure to link to the best ones!

There’s also a subtle hint that the comic will eventually make it’s way to “other media.” And, while that could simply be a reference to the upcoming DLC campaign, i’m just gonna’ call it right now… trade paperback. Mark my words. Afterall, this is the same company that released a plush Boomer doll for thirty five bucks!
